Detached cottage. C17 origin, enlarged - probably in C18. Plastered cob walls. Thatched roof. Brick stack. Original building at right angles to road - two-room plan with central stack. Extended to west in C18. Rear wall rebuilt in brick. One storey and attics. Entrance in east wall - oak ledged door. Ground floor has one casement window with glazing bars and one modern metal casement. Attic has one dormer with casements with glazing bars. Elevation to road has two casement windows with glazing bars on each floor. Internally, original part has large open fireplace with oak lintel and jambs, and chamfered ceiling beam on ground floor. Later section has a C18 fireplace surround and cupboards with panelled'doors. RCHM Monument 26.
