SY88NW 4/250 TURNERSPUDDLE Snelling Farm House
II
Farmhouse. Built 1754 by James Frampton. Brick walls on stone plinth, with stone incorporated in north-west gable wall. Ornamental brick dentil cornice at eaves. Tiled roof with stone eaves courses. Brick stack, in rear wall. Two storeys and attic. Later single-storey lean-to at rear, with brick walls and tiled roof. Brick porch with tiled roof and ledged door. Ground floor has three casement windows with glazing bars. First floor has four similar windows. Date Stone on front wall. J F C for James Frampton 1754. Carved stone below this with gothic detail - probably re-set. Interior has some original doors with bolection-moulded panels. Plank and muntin partition to stairs. Bread oven in stack, opening into lean-to.
