Description

SY 88NW 4/348 WINFRITH NEWBURGH EAST KNIGHTON Longcutts Farm House II Farm house. Probably C17 origin - altered in early C19. Stone and brick walls, part plastered, thatched roof, brick stack. One storey and attics. C19 two-storeyed wing at rear, has brick walls and thatched roof. Also modern single-storey lean-to at rear with asbestos roof. Main elevation has, on ground floor, two casement windows with cast iron diamond lights. Attic has two hipped half-dormers with similar casements. Internally, main ground floor room has large open fireplace with moulded timber lintel. Remains of bread oven, and of circular curing chamber which preceded this. Listing NGR: SY8152085722
