Farm house. Built 1714 (dated plan at Bristol University). Brick walls, half-hipped tiled roof, brick stacks. Two storey and attics. Three-room lobby entrance plan with two-storeyed attached outbuilding to north, under continuation of main roof. Original single-storey lean-to range at rear. Single-storey wing projects from front of attached outbuilding. Modern brick porch with tiled roof. Flush door. Ground floor has two horizontally sliding sash windows and one casement - all with glazing bars. First floor has three horizontally sliding sash windows and one fixed window - over porch - all with glazing bars. Plat band at first floor level. Rendered panels round three first floor windows. Attic has two hipped dormers with horizontally sliding sashes with glazing bars. Internally, partitions between hall and service rooms removed. Hall has large open fireplace with timber lintel. Front boundary wall of brick. House is an interesting example of a dated building - plan of archaic type for its date. RCHM Monument 29.
