Vines Down Buildings
II
Farm buildings. Probably late C18. Main barn has brick walls, buttressed, and tiled roof with stone eaves courses. Single-storey. Slit window openings. Large half-hipped cart porches. Roof structure of double collar beam form. Attached single-storey range on south-east has stone walls with brick dressings and slate roof. Part was an open shelter with timber posts - now infilled. Similar range on north-east recently demolished. North-east of main barn a two-storeyed stable block has flint walls with brick dressings and half-hipped slate roof. Stable doors and metal windows. Example of post-Enclosure Down Barn.
