Description

HIGH STREET 1. 5190 (south side) No 41 (Lloyds Bank) SZ 0378 NW 5/77 II GV 2. 1896. Portland Stone facade, roof concealed behind parapet. Formal classical facade in 4 bays. On the ground floor the 2 outer bays contain doors in moulded arched openings and the 2 inner bays round-headed windows - all bays divided by pairs of Tuscan pilasters. On the first floor are 4 double-hung sash windows divided by pairs of Tuscan pilasters. On the second floor are 4 double-hung sash windows, with raised aprons to cills, divided by single Tuscan pilasters. Moulded string courses between first and second floors. Moulded dentil cornice to parapet. Included for group value. Listing NGR: SZ0312478718
