SEYMER ROAD 1. 5190 (east side) The Rookery SZ 0378 NW 5/132 II GV
2. Built c1830 by William Morton Pitt as a Custom House and Library. Two storeys and basement. Rendered walls and low-pitched slate roof. The main elevation to Seymer Road has 4 windows on the first floor and 3 windows and an entrance door on the ground floor. The windows at the north end on each floor are blocked. Double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The doorway has a classical pedimented hood, with reeded pilasters, and fanlight. Later conservatories on north and east sides. RCHM Monument 51
