Description
HIGH STREET 1. (South West Side) 5187 No 27, and attached front railings and railed wall at side (formerly listed as No 16) SZ 1592 1A/2 14.10.53.

2. Early C19. Originally a Masonic Hall, now a house and offices. Stuccoed facade with cornice and parapet. String course at 1st floor. Centre bay advanced. 2 storeys. 3 windows and a blank window in the attic, above which the parapet is ramped up on each side to form a centre pedestal, on which stands a vase. High centre doorway with Corinthian columns, pediment and semi-circular fanlight. Iron railings form quadrant at each side of doorway. Side railed wall to rear.
Nos 25 to 29 (odd), No 31 and Nos 43 and 45 with the walls at the rear of No 29 and those in the Druitt Gardens form a group with the Town Hall and Nos 38, 38A, 42 to 46 (even) and the Ship Hotel opposite. No 25, No 31, No 45, Nos 38, 38A, and No 46 are buildings of local interest.
