2. Elegant Late Georgian farmhouse (now village shop), circa 1790, 2 storeys and dormers, 3 windows wide (sashes, glazing bars intact), red brick and grey headers, originally painted. White-painted timber porch of slim Roman Doric columns on high bases, carrying entablature, door-flanked by pilasters, 6 panels (2 glazed), jambs and soffit also panelled. Ground floor windows segment-headed, lst floor windows rise into eaves cornice of stepped bricks, tiled roof, chimney on ridge. Secondary door, simple hood on brackets in windowless west gable. Long rear wing, probably earlier Cl8 (paler brick), also sash windows, chimney on ridge, big stuccoed chimneybreast on end gable.
