St Mark's School (Formerly listed as Talbot Village School) SZ 0794 5/58 4.8.72. II GV 2. 1862, C C Creeke. Picturesque (though modernised) asymmetriacal group in buff brick Romanesque style, some lattice glazing survives. Single-storey entrance building with round-arched windows under gables, cornice of angle set and projecting bracketed bricks. Main hall behind with steep slate hipped roof; stepped triplet of arched windows under gable to south. Big hipped dormer with 3 arched lights in glazing bars, similar full-height windows for classrooms to south and north-west. Projecting wing to west (former school house) with many gabled round-arched dormer window of different sizes. Round-arched bellcote with gable on kneelers at back of hall. Small single storey gable to north-east with bull's eye over round-arched window. Modern wings to north and west. All the listed buildings in Wallisdown Road and Columbia Road form a group.
