C18 to early C19 front. Lower frontage than No 50. 2 storeys. 2 windows. Tiled roof. Stone rubble front; plinth. 2-light casement windows with small panes above; sash windows, altered, below; lintels Flush panelled door; upper part altered; lintel.
Nos 42 to 52A (even) form a group with No 1 Victoria Street and No 2 to 8 (even) Barton Hill.
