Listed Building: STREET FARMHOUSE (102717)

ST 71 NE MARNHULL BURTON STREET 4/90 Street Farmhouse (formerly listed 4.10.60 as Lovell's Farm) GV II House, probably late C17 or early C18 with C18 extension east and early C19 north wing. Coursed rubble walls with interlocking tile roof and central brick stack. 2 storeys and attic, original range of 2 bays with central door. 3-light stone mullioned windows with stone architraves and beaded mullions. Extension has wooden casements. Leaded-lights. Gabled dormers. Doorway has stone architrave and segmental wooden hood with dentilled cornice. Internal features (RCHM): C18 fielded panelling; jamb and bressummer of open fireplace; plank and muntin partition; deep chamfered ceiling beams. RCHM, Dorset, vol III, p 158, no 37.
