ST 82 SW EAST STOUR LINTERN LANE
3/13 High Grove Farmhouse

Farmhouse dated 1620. Coursed rubble, with tiled, gable-ended roof.
Brick stacks to right gable and one bay in left. 1« storeys,
approximately 5 window range. Mainly C20 2 and 3 light casements
with glazing bars. 6 flush panel, part-glazed door with C20 tiled
porch. 3 C20 gabled dormers. Internally there is a fireplace with
chamfered bressummer and jambs and the original roof is in-situ.
Inscribed stone over south door - 'TS 1620'. Originally the house
had a through passage away from the stack but this has been changed
by recent alterations.
