Detached farmhouse, Cl7. Flint with squared rubble block wall. Tiled roof with
end brick stacks. 2 storeys, 4 window range. 2-light casements with glazing
bars, those to the ground floor under segmental heads. Central C20 porch and
door.
Internal features (RCHM): chamfered ceiling beams with shaped stops; fireplace
bressummer has incised inscription "1669 RW", in a roundel.
The building was thatched until recently. (RCHM, Dorset, vol.IV, p.105, no.1.)
