Description

IBBERTON IBBERTON VILLAGE ST 70 NE 9/48 Manor House Farmhouse 4.10.60 - II Farmhouse, mid C17, with C19 extension left. Banded ashlar and flint, tiled roof with gable ends. Brick end stacks to ends of original range. T-plan. Original facade symmetrical. 2 storeys, 3 bays (to original range). Rubble plinth. 4-light stone mullioned windows with hollow chamfers to ground floor. Upper floor has similar fenestration with returned labels. Horizontal glazing bars. Front door is of oak planks with wrought iron strap hinges and is set under a moulded 4-centred head in square surround. C19 gabled porch with reset stone bearing scratched dates of 1686 and 1666. C19 extension has 3-light sashes with no glazing bars. To the rear are some wooden mullioned, ovolo moulded windows with leaded lights. Internally there is a central passage with plank and muntin partitions. East room has a moulded stone fireplace with slightly pointed head. Rooms have stopped double roll moulded ceiling beams.
