ST 7814 STURMINSTER NEWTON PENNY STREET (SOUTH SIDE) Cottage adjoining 3 Penny Street to the east.

Cottage, possibly C17. Whitewashed rubble, pantiled roof, brick end stack to left, gable ends. 2 storey, 2 window range. Ground floor has inserted C19 sash with no glazing bars. Above is a single similar window. Circa 1800 6-flush panel door with inset window of 4-lights with original glass. Wooden hood above. Deep chamfered beam internally. Was probably originally attached to another cottage to the left and faced a court set back from Penny Street which has subsequently been opened by the demolition of surrounding buildings.
