Pair of cottages, probably C17. White-washed rubble walls, thatched roof with gable end to right. Brick and stone stacks at end of each cottage. 2 storeys, 4 window range. Wooden casements of 2 and 3-lights with 2 panes per light. To the right is a 5-light, fixed window which may have been for a shop. All openings under wooden lintels. To left is a passage to rear of cottages. Large external stack to right. "RCHM, Dorset, Vol III", HMSO, 1970, p251, no 20.
