House, C16 or earlier, alterations and additions. Cl6, Cl7, Cl8/Cl9.
Timber framed, façade of squared, coursed rubble. Thatched, hipped and half-hipped roof with approximately central brick stack running parallel to ridge. T-plan with Cl7 rear wing and south Cl8 extension. 2 storeys, irregular fenestration. 3-light wooden casements with no glazing bars. To the right is a rectangular bay window with casements having no glazing bars. The south extension has a 2-light casement with no glazing bars below and a 3-light chamfered, timber-mullioned window above. The house is of jointed cruck construction and one such truss is exposed in the north wall. Internal features (RCHM): fireplaces with moulded bressummers and jambs, chamfered and moulded ceiling beams, a ceiling of chamfered intersecting beams, plank and muntin partition, Cl7 balustrade, fragments of moulded plasterwork. Probably originated as an open hall house with north end services and a third south room. Later the end room were ceiled leaving the hall open.
