Description
1. 865 EAST STREET (South Side) No 71 & No 71A
ST 8806 1/31 27.10.50. II GV 2.
Post 1751 to 1750 circa. 4-storey front, Usual brickwork. 3 windows. Moulded brick string. On right hand is good 3-storey later C18 wood bay. This has sash windows. The open shop-front has a good moulded hood, projecting in the
centre, sign board above. Modern plate glass shop window. House door at left hand end. Remains of C18 staircase. [See RCHM].
Nos 61 to 73 (odd) form a group with National Westminster Bank, Lloyds Bank,
Nos 6 and 10 to 26 (even) and the Red Lion Public House and Outbuildings.
