Description
1. 865 WEST STREET (South Side) Nos 9 & 11
ST 8806 1/118 27.10.50. II GV 2.
Post 1731. 3-storey 7-window dark red brick front. Lighter red rubbed brick window arches. No 11 has good enriched modillion cornice, but in the case of No 9 this has been replaced by a cement course with a flat roof over, This break in the cornice line has the effect of terminating the Grade I group. Modern shop fronts; formerly in No 11, a probably late C19 shop front.
Nos 1 to 11 (odd) and Crown and Anchor Public House form a group.
