Short terrace of 3 houses plus public house, returning to Park Street. Early C19. Rendered, some rubble, slate roofs. PLAN: although built as one unit, No.18 (The Star) has a slightly higher roof profile than the remainder, and has a long service range return to Park Street. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attic, with 3 flat-roofed sashed dormers above two 8:12:8-pame sash bow oriels and, to the right, a blind opening, above a plain light with 2 transom-panes and a 12-pane sash, plus a large light under a cornice and fascia board to the right. Centred under the oriels is an arched opening with a 6-panel door under a plain fanlight and on 3 steps. The return gable has a blind light to the attic, above two 16-pane sashes and 2 large 4-pane lights, an arched doorway and a smaller 2-light at the ground floor. The lower gabled service range in painted rubble has 2 sashes above a wide carriage entry with segmental head and a further sash. The rear is in rubble with brick dressings, and 16-pane sashes. There are 2 ridge stacks. The small plinth, moulded cornice, blocking course and parapet run the full width of the terrace. Nos 19-21 are each of 1 window, with a small flat-roofed dormer, but a C20 large 3-light to No.19, above an 8:12:8-pane bow oriel to No.19, and a canted plain sash oriel to Nos 20 & 21; a small light has been inserted to the right of the bay to No.20. At ground floor has a 4-pane sash and panelled door to transom light to No.19, a wide shop front plus door to transom light, and a second immediately adjacent door to No.20, and a full-width shop front with door to No.21. There are 3 ridge stacks. The rear has a large dormer to No.19, and an early 2-light casement with some leading to No.21. INTERIOR: not inspected. The building is somewhat isolated, with car parks to the front and to one side.
