Description

PORTLAND SY6871 WAKEHAM, Easton 969-1/4/71 (West side) 16/08/76 No.114 (Formerly Listed as: WAKEHAM STREET Nos.114 & 116) GV II Small house in row. Early C19. Large coursed and squared stone block, plain tile roof. Two storeys and attic, 1-windowed. 16-pane sashes to stone cills, far left a C20 door. A lintel band of long stones above the ground-floor door and window; the upper window possibly enlarged, as the long lintel-stone has been cut into, but the sash looks authentic early C19. Raised and tiled verge, right with rendered stack; return gable rendered, with small 16-pane to attic. Straight joint to adjoining property to left, but door lintel carries through. The house number is incised on stone. Listing NGR: SY6952671511
