SY6878NW EAST STREET 873-1/24/92 (East side) 18/06/70 No.21
GV II
House in row. Early C19. Rendered, tiled mansard roof. 3 storeys and attic, with a raking dormer above two 4-pane sashes at second floor, a canted plain sash bay to first floor, and 8:16:8-pane sash bow to the ground floor. To the left a 4-panel door on one stone step, with a shallow transom light. Cornice, blocking course and coped parapet, no stack visible from street. This would originally have had a 2-storey bow, but the upper level was rebuilt in the later C19 as a canted bay; in the previous list the second floor sashes retained their glazing bars. The rear has a raking dormer with sash, above central 4-pane sashes to flush boxes at each level; to the right is a small slated extension on brick piers. INTERIOR: not inspected. (RCHME: Dorset, South-East: London: 1970-: 348).
