Detached house, former rectory. c1840. Rubble or rendered, slate roof. The house faces S, with its back to the road, and is in 2 sections; the original range was extended by one bay to the W in the later C19. A C20 single-storey range across the back. 2 storeys and attic, 1+3 windows; the later section has large paired 4-pane sashes to a wide central mullion box, and the original range has two 2-light hipped dormers above modified 16-pane sash at first floor and 4-pane sash to the ground floor, flanking a pair of French doors under a transom light. There are brick gable stacks, and a further stack to the later range. The left gable is plain, with one doorway, and the right gable, in rubble, has a 4-pane sash to segmental head, and a smaller light, above a box porch over a flush panelled door with 3-pane transom light, in panelled reveals. The rear wall also in rubble, has two 3-light early casements, one with a transom, and one with leading, at the first floor, and an added external eaves stack. INTERIOR: partly inspected, retains little of the original fittings.
