GV II
House in row. Late C18. Rendered and scribed, concrete tile roof. Two storeys, 1-windowed. C20 casements, and to right a C20 glazed door. Back has large C20 flat-roofed addition. Interior has recently (1991) uncovered remains of bressumer fire with heavy cut-down wood bressumer on stone cheek to left, but on timber 'prop' to right, timbers possibly from earlier roof structure. To left of fire a tight spiral stair in wood, rising also to roof space; roof completely restructured. Walls have a number of deep recesses, possibly part of original fenestration, and on the left-hand party wall at ground and first floor levels a blind casement opening in flush chamfered surround, formerly lighting No 31 (qv). Included for group value.
