Landmark. Dated 1844 on north face. Portland stone ashlar. Three-sided tapering obelisk on high plinth and with pyramidal crown, c 10m high overall. Panel inscribed "TH 1844". (Royal Commission on Historical Monuments: Dorset: London: 1970-: 253).
