WEYMOUTH SY6778SE ST MARY STREET 873-1/23/304 (East side) 14/06/74 Churchyard railings and gates to Church of St Mary (Formerly Listed as: ST MARY STREET (East side) Garden or churchyard railings of St Mary's Church) GV II Railings and gates. Early C19. Cast- and wrought-iron. To the N of the church is a footpath, with pairs of gates at either end, then lightweight railings to spearheads to St Mary Street and Maiden Street, with corresponding lower railings bounding the footpath. On the S side is a pair of gates, then a short length of railing which returns the full length of Church Passage, stopped to the extended vestry wall. These railings are of heavier calibre, with fleur-de-lis cappings, including the lower dog-bars; many of the lower cappings have been broken off. Railings are set to a weathered dwarf stone wall.
