The building has a return facade to St Alban Street, which incorporates a 1-bay unit formerly a separate property, returning to Maiden Street. No.34 has a 2-storey bow oriel with 8:12:8-pane above plain sashes, and a 12-pane at second floor, in reveals and to stone sills, above deep 8-pane sashes, probably 12- or 15-pane originally. The C19 shop front fascia and cornice returns by a quadrant corner, under a shaped corbel projection, continuing across the St Alban Street frontage. Between the first- and second-floor windows to No.35 is a raised panel with 'ALBION HOUSE' in bold sunk Roman lettering. The moulded modillion cornice with blocking-course and parapet returns to St Alban Street. This frontage has a blind light and three 12-pane at second floor on a plain sill band, and a blind light with 3 plain sashes below. Ground floor has 3 blind lights below the fascia. The first 2 floors are rusticated, with a return pilaster to the main frontage. Attached to the right is an extra bay with hipped slate roof above a 12-pane at second and 2 at first floor, and a wide segmental-headed 12-light fixed window to the ground floor. In Maiden Street the frontage includes a large arched light with triple radial bars, and various other glazing-bar sashes, 12 or 16-paned, on 3 floors. The range returns with a large 16-pane and modified sash above a flat-roofed extension behind No.34. INTERIORS not inspected. (RCHME: Dorset, South-East: London: 1970-: 351).
