WEYMOUTH SY6878NW ST ALBAN STREET 873-1/24/275 (North side) 18/06/70 No.19 (Formerly Listed as: ST ALBAN'S STREET (North side) Nos.18 AND 19) GV II House at end of row, returning to New Street. Early to mid C19. Rendered, slate gable roof. Probably built at same time as No.18 (qv), adjoining, with roof restructured. 3 storeys, attic and basement, 1 window. A large flat-roofed 4-pane sash half-dormer above a small 2-light casement in plain reveal, with a C19 cast-iron balcony, and a sill band, above a bow oriel with 8:12:8-pane sash to a dentil cornice. Ground floor C19 shop front is in 3 tall panes with very slender glazing bars, returned at the ends, and with a wide glazed door set back to the left, all to a moulded cornice and fascia. The left gable is stopped to rendered crow-steps, and there is a brick stack to the right. The plain back is in unrendered brick in English garden wall bond, and it is set at a slight angle to the adjoining property. INTERIOR: not inspected. (RCHME: Dorset, South-East: London: 1970-: 350).
