LONG STREET 1. 1625 (North-West Side) Green Cottage
ST 6316 1/359 II 2. North block (formerly one cottage) of 2 storeys and attic; 2 window bays, plaintile gabled roof; 1 hipped dormer. Small 2-light windows with some lights fixed. Central 6-panelled door with top 2 panels cut away and glazed; tile gabled canopy with bargeboard. 1 storey link wing between cottage and block to south; link wing has plaintile roof, stone rubble walls, 2 windows and a door. South block originally also a cottage; stone rubble walls; outshut on north side; ledged door at west end in reveals. Formerly other cottages in this place; 2 on site of China Gallery; at least one adjoining Green Cottage bombed during 1939-45 War.
