2. 1837. Part of a planned group called "Portville", developed by Samuel Gundry junior, one of the twine manufacturing dynasty. Stucco. Low pitched slate roof, with wide eaves on cut brackets. 2 storeys. Angle pilasters with incised line decoration. 2 sashes with glazing bars on 1st floor. 2 French casements with marginal glazing bars and oblong fanlights on ground floor. 6 bay cast iron verandah with vine leaf trellis work. Entrance wing with contemporary 2-panelled door.
Nos 48 to 56 (even), The coachhouses and stables of Nos 48 to 56 the dwarf wall and gates to the front gardens, of Nos 48 to 62, No 62, No 64 and No 64A form a group.
