SILVER STREET 1. 1357 (South West Side) The Little Place
SY 3392 3/79 II GV 2.
Early C19. 2-storeys. Hipped slate roof. Eaves cornice. Stuccoed. 3 window bays to front facing south-east to garden; bay at left hand end was added in 1950s. Sash windows with glazing bars above. Glass and iron verandah before ground foor, extended in 1950s before left hand end bay. French casements on ground floor. Porch in right hand return; round-headed doorway with stuccoed reveals; 6-panelled door with top 2 panels cut away and glazed; plain semi-circular fanlight; coved canopy on trellised supports.
The Little Place and the north-east boundary wall, Rosehill and the garden wall, Burley, the 01d Vicarage, the former stable block and the garden wall to Burley and Old Vicarage, West Hill and the garden wall, together with the Roman Catholic Church of St Michael and St George, and the Dorset Hotel, Pound Road form a group.
