Description

SY 49 SW SYMONDSBURY SHUTE'S LANE 6/137 The Rectory G.V. II Rectory, formerly single house. Later C18. Ashlar stone walls with moulded cornice and plain parapet over. Slate roof: with stone gable copings which disappear behind parapet. Brick stacks at left and right gables. 2 storeys and attics. 3 windows, sashes with glazing bars and flush wooden frames. Projecting keystones. Central upper window blocked with stone. Key intact. Old glass in windows. 2 dormers, 2 light casements with glazing bars, ogee cornices and flat lead roofs. Verandah along south terrace: trelliswork posts with elliptical heads. Glass pentice roof. Front door in a stone porch over the lane on west gable wall. Doorway with segmental head. C20 plank door. Stone steps and heavy stone coped parapet on left leading up to front door. Listing NGR: SY4444293635
