BEAMINSTER CLAY LANE, (SOUTH SIDE) ST 40 SE 4/36 The Old Vicarage, (formerly 18.9.75 listed as The Vicarage.) - II
Single House, formerly The Vicarage. 1859-61 by William White. Rubble- stone walls with stone quoins. Clay tile roof with cresting and stone gable-copings. Asymetrical stacks at ridge, right of centre and left hand projecting gable. 4 steep gables of varying heights. Main gable projects at left hand. Smaller projecting gable at right hand. 2 smaller centre gables with plate-tracery with a quatrefoil over. 3 storeys. c. 4 windows, stone mullioned. Entrance-porch in left gable, with a later masking extension. Rear elevation also asymmetrical, canted bay at right hand, tile-hung. Buttress with long set-off.
