Description

SY 7286-7386 BROADMAYNE MAIN STREET (south side) 11/9 No. 2 (Sunnyside) 18.4.85 II Detached cottage. C16 origin with extensive later alterations, largely early C19, and C20. Rubblestone and cob walls, with some briok patching, rendered and painted. Thatch roof, hipped at left hand and gabled at right hand, with block ridging. Tendered stacks on ridge at left hand, and at right gable end. Once 1½ storeys, altered to one storey, with loft over, formerly dormered. 4 windows, 2 light wood casements with glazing-bars, wood cills and lintels, C19 and C20. Ornamental instic wood porch with gabled roof, C20. Interior: the internal divisions have been extensively altered in C20 ceiling heights altered and fireplaces modernised, early fire breasts behind. The roof construction is of several periods, largely C19 and C20 repairs, and is currently in poor condition. Listing NGR: SY7258286772
