POUND STREET 1. 1357 (South Side) Hotel Alexandra
SY 3392 3/9 23.4.52. II GV 2.
Possibly late C18 in origin; later additions. 3-storeys; projection across front on ground floor. 6 window bays. Felted roof. Roughcast front. Sash windows with glazing bars and keystones. Bay windows on 1st and 2nd floors in 3rd bay from left hand end, and on 1st floor at right hand end. Porch with entablature.
Nos 1 and 2 Pound Street form a group with The Peek Memorial Chapel, Hotel Alexandra, Nos 1 and 2 Alexandra Cottage, Nos 5 & 6 St Michael's Hotel Shamien Hotel, all in Pound Street, and also with the Stile House Hotel and wall in Stile Lane.
