2. Established 1794, but former rain water head was dated 1833. Hammer dressed stone main block, with double pitched thatch roof. Coped gable ends with finials in form of barrels. 2 storeys and attics. 2 ranges of segment-headed windows with glazing bars, that on attic floor of south block round headed. South windows on north elevation. Office block to south. Hammer dressed stone. Hipped slate roof. 1 storey. 2 round arched windows with plain raised surrounds and vermiculated keystones, 1 more in south end. Door with semi-circular fanlight and similar surround. Carriage entrance with 3 centred arch and rusticated voussoirs. Further 1 storey extension to south. Red brick. Ashlar plinth, quoins, and window dressings. Hipped slate roof. Red brick stack with ashlar cornicing. 1 storey. Moulded ashlar eaves cornice. Door up 4 steps with semi-circular fanlight, plain raised surround and moulded imposts. 2 pairs of paired round headed sashes, with sills on consoles, plain raised surrounds, moulded imposts and dividing colonnettes. Wall to garden at south. Hammer dressed stone. Ramped upwards to door with red brick surround, and ramped upwards at south end. Arch between main block and west block on Skilling Hill Road side: 3-centred with planked double doors. West block is hammer dressed stone. Pitched corrugated iron roof. 3 storeys, taller at west end. 7 ranges of windows, barred on ground floor, casements with glazing bars on 1st floor, and mullion and transom on 2nd floor. Rear has various casements with glazing bars, irregularly placed, and large low breast undershot water wheel, (made by Helyear of Bridport in 1879 and driving a 3 throw water pump). Tall red brick stack with ashlar cornicing at south-west corner. The interior contains a vertical steam engine by Bram and May of Devizes, which drives a water pump and works a sack hoist.
No 2, all the Brewery Buildings, and Nos 12 to 30 Fives Court Row form a group.
