12/284 The New Inn and attached wall to west
GV II
Detached Public House. C18 and C19 extension, making an 'L'. Dressed and rubble stone walls. Thatch roof with gable ends. Brick stacks at left and right hand gables. West elevation: 2 storeys, 4 windows, 2- and 3-light wooden casements with glazing-bars. Wooden cills. Segmental brick-arches over ground float windows. C19 extension along road. Same walls, and asbestos slate roof. One brick stack at east gable end. 3-light wooden casement with a horizontal glazing- bar, Door: of plank and muntin type, with 5 stone steps up to it. East elevation of main range has pentice slate-roofed corridor as an entry-passage, low brick walls with vertical glass lights over. Attached wall, running west, for 60 metres along road: coursed rubble stone walls standing 5 feet high, c.C18.
