GV II
Detached house. Probably mid-late C16 origin, of open-hall form, altered in late Cl6 - date stone on front wall "M1592W". Coursed rubble stone walls, thatched roof. One brick stack at left end, one rear right end. Left section 2-storeyed, right section one storey and attic - left section may be rebuilt byre of long-house. Ledged door with small glass panel. Ground floor has, left of door, one casement with cast iron glazing; right of door, 2 casements, one with glazing bars. Left section has, on first floor, one casement with lead lights and one with glazing bars. Right section has 2 blocked windows under eaves. C20 extension at right end, with concrete block wails, tiled roof and garage doors. Internally, left ground floor room has large open fireplace, part built up, with timber lintel and jambs. Spiral stair behind this. One deep-chamfered ceiling beam. Centre room has a (possibly reset) moulded timber fireplace lintel. Oak plank and muntin partition on first floor.
