House attached to and apparently partly incorporated in the Railway Inn ( C20 building). Ford House probably early C18. Plastered walls with raised quoins, tiled roof with coped gables, one brick stack on south gable, one near centre. L-shaped plan. 2 storeys. In main wing -at right angles to-road, plastered porch with gabled roof with some fish-scale tiling. Pointed arched opening with fanlight. Inner door panelled, in 4-centred arch. Ground floor has two 2-light stone mullioned windows with lead lights. 4 similar windows on first floor. In the wing at right end, parallel to road, each floor has 3 similar windows - mostly blocked. This wing appears to be part of the Station Inn. At left end of main range, a rear wing, at lower level, has rubble stone walls and tiled ½-hipped roof. Interior not accessible. (RCHM Monument 26.
