CHURCH STREET 1. 1357 (East Side) No 62 (Guildhall Cottage)
SY 3492 1/90 II GV 2.
Probably contemporary to The Guildhall. 2-storeys. Slate hipped roof. Upper floor roughcast; lower floor painted brick. From left to right hand end, bay 1 has window of 4-lights in 2 tiers above wide passageway through ground floor; gable over In 2nd bay, round-headed moulded doorways with pilasters, half glazed door with radiating glazing pattern, fascia and cornice which extend south across large 4-light splayed bay window on both floors in 3rd bay. At right hand end on 1st floor, 2-light wood casement with small panes; square-headed moulded doorway with keystone below.
Nos 60 to 62 (consec) form a group with The Guildha11, Bridge Street.
No 62 forms a group with The Guildhall and the Museum, & Nos 4, 4A, 5 & 6 Bridge Street, together with Nos 42 to 45 (consec) & No 47 Coombe Street.
