WEST BAY 1, 5l91 EAST OF WEST BAY ROAD AND THE HARBOUR Methodist Church BY +690 10/195 II GV 2. ll1l+9. Built by Messrs Cox and Son, Shipbuilders, Mr John Cox had been leader of the Society ever since the West Bay Wesleyan Society was formed in 1828, Hammer dressed stone. Rendered sides. Pitched slate roof. Coped gable ends. 1 storey, 2 round headed windows with Gothick glazing bars on each side. Porch has panel and pilaster treatment, full entablature with projecting eaves on shaped consoles, 2 panelled door, and tent roof with finial.
No 11, The Fountain, Messrs Norman Goods Warehouse, No 13 (Clarence House), the Methodist Church, the Bridport Arms Hotel, Ship Cottage, Gull House, The Dinghy and Pier Terrace form a group.
