LONG STREET 1. 1625 (South-East Side) The Shell
ST 6416 2/165 II GV 2.
Probably C17 origin. L-shaped block of 2 storeys formerly with a drain or passageway through centre of block to road. The building has recently been restored and has internally been extensively altered to form one dwelling. Stone rubble walls (recently re-pointed). New plain clay tile gabled roof (new roof timbers). Road front of 2 window bays. To first floor, widely spaced 2-light casement windows with small panes. On ground floor, two 3-light casements; 6-panelled door in frame. New window openings and staircase to rear wing.
