POUND STREET 1. 1357 (South Side) Nos 1 & 2 (Alexandra Cottage)
SY 3392 3/188 II GV 2.
Marked 182 on OS Map. Early C19. Low 2 storey building with 2 bay colourwashed rendered front to street. Hipped tile roof. Sash windows with glazing bars. Door to No 1 in street front; door of 6-panels with top 2 fielded and centre 2 glazed. Door to No 2 in left hand return; 6-panelled door with top 2 panels glazed and with hood on shaped brackets over.
Nos 1 and 2 Pound Street form a group with The Peek Memorial Chapel, Hotel Alexandra, Nos 1 and 2 Alexandra Cottage, Nos 5 & 6 St Michael's Hotel Shamien Hotel, all in Pound Street, and also with the Stile House Hotel and wall in Stile Lane.
