BEAMINSTER PROUT HILL (formerly ST 4701/4801 listed as Prout Bridge) (WEST SIDE) 12.5.63 7/131 No (The Walnuts) GV II
Attached House. c.1820. Lias ashlar walls with incised cement-stone pilasters at left and right hand ends. Stone cornice over. Slate roof with stone gable-copings. Rendered stacks at left and right gables. 2 storeys. 3 windows, 4-light wooden casements with marginal glazings and cross-bars. Wooden cills. Stone lintels with projecting keys. Front door at centre, wooden doorcase with Doric pilasters, archi- trave, plain frieze and unconventional cornice. Panelled reveals. Door originally with 6 panels, now with 4-lights. Source: R.C.H.M.
