HIGH EAST STREET 1. 5191 (South Side) Nos 15 & 16 SY 6990 7/33 II GV 2. Early Cl9. Brown brick. Pitched slate roof. 3 storeys. 5 ranges of sashes with glazing bars, canted oriels to 1st floor of No 16. Ground floor has (from left to right) 1 mid Cl9 shopfront, tiled as No l4, with plate glass windows and 2 doors with oblong fanlights and glazing bars; 1 carriage entrance with planked and spiked double doors, and spur stones; 1 late C19 public house front under slate pent roof on cut wooden brackets, including 2 doors with fanlights and 1 canted bay, all sheathed in brilliant puce glazed tiles. Nos 14 to 20 (consec) form a group.
