PUDDLETOWN SY 7594 THE MOOR 14/96 Nos 3 to 8 (consecutive) 21.2.79 GV II 3 pairs semi-detached estate cottages. Built by Lord Orford between 1857 and 1861 (DCRO). Walls of flint and brick banding, with brick dressings. Slate roofs, brick end and centre stacks. 2 storeys. No. 3 - at left end, has flush door. Ground floor has 2 casements with glazing bars under segmental arches. First floor has two C20 casements under similar arches. No. 4 has C20 part glazed door in weatherboarded porch. Ground and first floors each have 2 casements with glazing bars under segmental arches. Nos 5 and 6 have lean-to extensions at ends, in matching construction. No. 5 has C20 brick porch, with part glazed door and one casement with glazing bars. Ground and first floors each have 2 casements with glazing bars, under segmental arches. Plastered and slated rear extension. No. 6 has part glazed door in timber porch. Ground floor has 2 casements and first floor 2 horizontally sliding sashes, both with glazing bars. Nos. 7 and 8 have lost their end chimneys. No. 7 has ledged door. Ground and first floors each have 2 casements, with glazing bars, under segmental arches. No. 8 has part glazed door. Ground and first floors each have 2 plain casements under segmental arches - one first floor window opening having been enlarged. Single storey flat roofed brick extension at right end.
