4/12 Church Farmhouse

Detached Farmhouse. Mid C17, with later raising of the eaves. Rubble-stone base and ashlar chalk-block walls, rebuilt south gable wall. Thatch roof, hipped at left and right hand ends. Brick stack at centre ridge, renewed C20. 1½ storeys. Irregular fenestration, 4 windows, 2- and 3-light wooden casements with, glazing bars, much renewed C20, in original openings. Two eye- brow dormers, with ashlar walling built up each side, each of 3 lights, left hand early C19, right hand renewed C20. Plank door at centre in wood frame, renewed C20.
