CHEAP STREET 1. 1625 (North-East Side) ST
6316 1/55 Nos 13 and 15 II GV 2. Nos 13 and 15 form one building; much altered 2-storey cement rendered front to an earlier stone-rubble core. 4 windows; modern 2-light casements with glazing bars. Parapet. Modern tile roof to Cheap Street; old tile roof behind. C19 shop window to no 13. No 13 also retains to the right hand of this a good late C18 doorcase with fluted Ionic pilasters and rectangular fanlight. Entablature has reeded frieze and egg-and-dart mould to cornice. No 15 has modern shop window. Stone rubble wing to rear. No 15 is Grade II only because it forms part of the same structure as no 13.
Nos 1 to 15 (odd) form a group with the George Hotel in Higher Cheap Street.
