MELBURY OSMOND
ST 5707 MELBURY OSMOND VILLAGE The Curate's 8/98 House 11.11.66 II GV Former Curateage, now private dwelling. Early C19. Coursed rubble-stone walls. Thatch roof, with stone gable-copings and moulded kneelers. Brick stacks at gable-ends, renewed C20. Two storeys and attics. 3 windows, 2-light iron casements with lead lights in wood frames, dressed stone voussoirs, C19. Front door at centre, flush-panelled, C20. Attached outbuilding at west end, rubble-stone walls, hipped slate roof with boxed eaves, two- and 3-light casements. Plank door at centre. Attached railings stand on a stone sleeper wall, railings with ball-finials. Gate of same design as railings, to front doorway, up 3 stone steps.
